With over 150,000 badged attendees (and easily as many non-badged attendees outside of the convention in downtown San Diego), San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) easily lays claim to the largest comic and pop culture festival in the world. This year also marks the 48th year for the show, making it the country’s longest continuously-run comics and popular arts convention.  Running across four full days (plus one preview night), the event has grown to include surrounding satellite locations (including local hotels and outdoor parks), all taking place outside of the Convention Center, and creating a campus-type city-wide festival feel for the convention in downtown San Diego.
